PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Three months (01.03.2008-01.06.2006)
Short description
During art lessons pupils in different countries are going to analyse G.Klimt portrait painting. Student will create unique own portrait compositions inspired by famous G.Klimt artwork “Kiss”.
The teachers will put students’ art works on the web site or to exchange by return of post.

Aims
To introduce students with G.Klimt art.
To motivate students to create own portrait composition inspired by G.Klimt “Kiss”.
To compare students art works in the different countries.
Work process
The first lesson aim is to introduce the patterns of Gustav Klimt's work and the artist himself.The second – third lesson aim is to motivate students to create own sketch of portrait composition, drawing in the ornamental, decorative and luxurious style of Klimt. Teacher show examples of different types of line, such as, diagonal, horizontal, vertical and zigzag.The fourth – fifth lesson - teacher with students are discussing about sketches; students are starting to paint by gouache or other technique.
Teachers will create on line exhibition or resend works by email.
The sixth lesson – students can compare their creative works and send personal opinion about contemporaries’ art in other country.
